Veterinarians
Cy Shurtleff, DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Cy Shurtleff is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and the Practice Owner. Dr. Shurtleff opened Morrilton Vet Clinic in 1997. He graduated with his undergraduate and Doctorate from Oklahoma State University. He is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the Academy of Veterinary Consultants and the Society of Theriogenology. Dr. Shurtleff enjoys all aspects of Veterinary medicine whether it be working with small animals, small ruminants or large animals. He is married to his wife, Linley Davis Shurtleff, and they have three wonderful children, Chase, C.R. and Cylin. When he isn’t at the clinic, Dr. Shurtleff and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, and they especially love to hunt and fish.
Bud Benson, DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Bud Benson is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has been with our clinic since 2021. He received his undergraduate and Doctorate from the University of Georgia. Bud grew up in North Georgia before moving to Arkansas with his wife, Abbey, in May of 2020. Bud and Abbey have two children, Odin and Magnolia as well as two dogs. He is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the Society of Theriogenology. His interests include cow-calf medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Benson enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for the Dawgs during football season as well as hunting and fishing.
Aaron Wilson, DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Aaron Wilson is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has been with our clinic since 2021. He received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University and then went on to the University of Missouri where he received his Master’s degree in Public Health and Doctorate. Aaron grew up in Heber Springs, AR. He is known as reliable, eager, pragmatic, and friendly in his role as a local Veterinarian. He thoroughly enjoys the practice and privileges of his role in treating all animals large and small. His special interests include small animal surgical oncology and bovine lameness & reproduction. He is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the Society of Theriogenology. Dr. Wilson is happily married to his wife Ashley, and together they enjoy serving the Lord in whatever He gives them. Whether it’s playing instruments in church, tinkering with his old truck, working on the farm, or treating your pet; Dr. Wilson welcomes the opportunity to help the community and bring a smile to your face.
Certified Veterinary Technicians
Stephanie Jackson, CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician
Stephanie Jackson is a Certified Veterinarian Technician and has been with our clinic since 2010. She received her degree from St. Petersburg College Veterinary Technician Program. She was awarded the 2021 AR Vet Tech of the Year and is the 2021-2023 Treasurer of the Arkansas Veterinary Technician Association. She is also a member of NAVTA (national Association of Veterinary Technicians in America). She assists with exams, surgeries, dentals, bloodwork and radiology. She is also in charge of the clinic’s inventory and supplies. Stephanie especially enjoys surgical assistance, client education and dental prophylaxis. Stephanie is married to her husband, Matt. They have two beautiful children, Addison and Easton along with three dogs, two cats, and two horses. They enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, gardening and horseback riding.
Kaitlin Frakes, CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician
Kaitlin Frakes is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been with our clinic since 2018. She received her degree from ASU-Beebe Veterinary Technician Program. She assists our veterinarians with various day to day procedures including exams, surgeries, dentals, bloodwork and radiology. She especially enjoys surgical assistance and anesthesiology. Kaitlin is married to her husband, Todd, and they have two dogs, Otis and Sadie. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and riding their motorcycle. Kaitlin is currently the 2021-2024 President of the Arkansas Veterinary Technician Association. She is also a member of NAVTA (national Association of Veterinary Technicians in America).

Sheri Turner
Veterinary Assistant
Sheri Turner is an experienced Veterinarian Assistant and has been with our clinic since 1997. Sheri is trained to perform EIA testing as well as care for both small and large animals. Sheri and her husband, Paul, love spending time with their two dogs and enjoy many outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
Kristen O’Brien
Veterinary Assitant
Kristen O’Brien is a Veterinary Assistant and has been with our clinic since 2020. She assists our veterinarians with the various day to day procedures. Kristen is married to her husband, Seth, and they have two sons, Kolton and Klayton. In her free time, Kristen enjoys riding horses, fishing and being outside with her kids.
Madison Dillon
Veterinary Assistant
Madison Dillon is a Veterinary Assistant and has been with our clinic since 2022. She assists our veterinarians and technicians with day-to-day procedures. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Penn Foster. In her spare time, Madison enjoys hunting, camping and farm checks with her coonhound, Della Mae.

Glenda Church
Receptionist
Glenda Church is an experienced receptionist and has been with our clinic since 1998. She is married to her husband, Vernon, and they have two sons, Cody and his wife Linda and Skyler with his wife, Jacy. When she isn’t at work, Glenda loves spending time with her grandchildren as well as tending to her cattle and horses.
Jordan Carter
Receptionist
Jordan Carter is a receptionist and has been with our clinic since 2021. She is married to her husband, Shannon, and they have two sons, Easton & Camden as well as two dogs. Jordan loves spending time with her family, working with animals, doing anything outdoors, and trying new restaurants!
Abbey Benson
Receptionist
Abbey Benson is a receptionist and has been with our clinic since 2020. Abbey grew up in North Georgia and attended Brenau University where she received her degree in Mass Communications in 2016. Abbey and her husband, Bud Benson DVM, moved to Arkansas in 2020. Abbey and Bud have two children, Odin and Magnolia as well as two dogs. In her free time, Abbey enjoys crafting, hiking, and camping.
Cindy Gatling
Receptionist
Cindy Gatling is a receptionist and has been with our clinic since 2017. She is married to her husband, Blake, and they have two children, Maggie and Will as well as one dog and two cats. In her free time, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, watching Devil Dog Football, and being active in the local community.
